Will my cat actually play with it?

It's made for the chase instinct: it moves on its own, changes direction and rolls off when tapped. Some cats pounce straight away; shy ones like to watch first, so give it a few sessions. If your cat still isn't keen, email us and you can send it back under our returns policy.

Is it loud?

It's quiet enough for daytime play, but it isn't silent: there's a small motor inside, so expect a soft hum as it rolls and a light tap when it meets a wall. Switch it off at night if your cat likes to hunt at 3 a.m.

Does it work on carpet?

It rolls best on hard floors and flat, low rugs. Deep, shaggy carpet slows any rolling ball down, so start it somewhere smooth.

Will it survive my cat's claws?

The shell is durable ABS plastic, made for batting, pouncing and bumping into furniture. It isn't a chew toy, so supervise play and take it away if it cracks or gets chewed.

Can I leave it running while I'm out?

We'd rather you didn't. It's best with you nearby, even if you're on a call in the next room. Switch it off after a session and put it away; cats stay keener on toys they don't see all day.

Is it for dogs too?

No, it's made for cats. A dog's bite is much stronger than a cat's pounce, and the hard shell isn't made for chewing, so keep it away from dogs.
